About Me – Meet Katy from Warmy Recipes
👧 My Name is Katy, and This is My Kitchen
Hi there! I’m Katy—a 40-year-old American mom with a heart full of love, a kitchen that never sleeps, and a lifelong belief that food is the coziest kind of love language. I’m also the woman behind Warmy Recipes, a place where comfort meets simplicity, and where you can always count on finding something sweet, savory, or soul-warming to bring to the table.
I live with my wonderful husband and our two children—a curious, snack-loving 10-year-old son and a bright, frosting-fingered 7-year-old daughter. We live life in the little moments: weekday pancake mornings, rainy day baking sessions, late-night cocoa chats, and birthday cakes made from scratch (sometimes lopsided, always loved).
Our home is loud and loving, and the kitchen is its heart.
🍜 How Warmy Recipes Was Born
Warmy Recipes came from my desire to make cooking feel like a hug—to help other moms, busy folks, or kitchen-shy souls discover that delicious doesn’t have to mean difficult.
This all started as a small Facebook page where I shared recipes I made for my family: quick casseroles, cozy soups, dreamy cakes, and those little one-pan wonders that somehow save dinner and your sanity. Over time, I realized what I loved most wasn’t just the cooking—it was the connection. The comments from other moms, the shared photos, the messages that said, “This reminded me of my childhood.”
So I built this blog as a home for all of us.
A warm, flour-dusted, butter-scented home.

And most importantly? I share recipes with soul.
Each one is something I’ve cooked for the people I love. Each one has a little story, a little secret, or a little memory tucked inside.
📚 My Story, One Recipe at a Time
The first thing I ever baked on my own was banana bread. I was about 12, and I used way too much baking soda. It puffed up like a balloon and then caved in. But my mom still ate it like it was gold. That moment stuck with me. Cooking didn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
Later, when I became a mom myself, I found comfort in cooking again. In the chaos of newborn nights, teething toddlers, and the everyday magic/mess of motherhood, the kitchen became my space. A space to slow down, breathe, and do something with my hands.
It’s where my kids learned to count using chocolate chips. It’s where we’ve had our biggest laughs and even a few honest tears. It’s where I return to myself.
📆 A Few Things About Me
I believe butter can fix almost anything (especially moods).
My dream Saturday? A clean kitchen, a good playlist, and a batch of cinnamon rolls rising on the counter.
I love stories as much as I love food. That’s why every recipe I share starts with one.
My family is my taste-testing team. They’re honest, especially my daughter, who once said, “This is good but next time, can we put frosting on it?”
I don’t believe in food guilt. Ever.
🌿 Why I Do What I Do
Cooking, for me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence.
It’s about being there—for yourself, for your family, for your friends. It’s about setting a plate in front of someone and saying, “I made this for you.” It’s the most ordinary and extraordinary way I know to say, I love you.
And if I can help even one person feel more at home in their kitchen, more confident in their skills, or more joyful about mealtime? Then this blog has done its job.
🧳 From My Kitchen to Yours
So whether you’re here to find a quick dinner, a sweet dessert, or a moment of calm with a cup of coffee and a story—you’re welcome at my table.
Pull up a chair. There’s always room for one more.
With warmth and butter,Katy
